Reverend Belinda Alexander

Reverend Belinda G. Alexander is a native of Palmetto, Florida. She is the daughter of Mrs. Willie Lee Alexander and the late Mr. Andrew A. Alexander, Jr. and the youngest of four children.

She attended Manatee County Schools graduating from Manatee High School in Bradenton, Florida. Reverend Alexander continued her education at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Tallahassee, Florida where she received a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management. Rev. Alexander is currently employed as a Care Manager with Florida Community Care Incorporated.

Reverend Alexander’s ministry began on December 29, 1991. She was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in October 1997. She served as a faithful member and associate minister and coordinator of Sister-to-Sister ministry at Turner Chapel AME Church, Palmetto, Florida, until receiving her first pastoral assignment at Gregg-Anne AME Church, in Bradley, Florida on October 12, 2012.  After serving as pastor in the Lakeland and Tampa Districts, Rev. Alexander returned to the St. Petersburg District in November of 2016 and served as an associate minister at Turner Chapel AME Church. On October 22, 2021, Rev. Alexander received her 8th pastoral appointment and served as Pastor of Greater Hurst Chapel AME Church in Sarasota, Florida. She has been involved in many church activities throughout her life. She has also mentored young women in the community. She has presented in women’s conferences and has been guest speaker in various denominational churches throughout the State of Florida.  She loves people, young and old. She attributes this love to God’s fervent and effectual move in her life. She affirms that only what’s done for Christ will last. To God be the Glory for the things He has done!
