The SOAR Learning Center’s held its very first Annual Fundraising Gala April 11, 2018 hosted by Board member Scott Key and his wife Christina.
A highlight of the evening was Louis Robison, Ed.D., Chair of the SOAR board of directors announcement of a generous donation of $100,000 from The David, Adrianne and Jordan Rubin Fund; a gift of $100,000 from the Scott and Christine Key Education Foundation; and a pledge of $91,600 from The Southside Rotary Club of Sarasota, and Rotary member Dr. Rob Fish.
According to Southside Rotary President Mary Ann Vollrath, "The Board of The Rotary Club of Sarasota Southside and it members are extending their support and commitment to the SOAR project at a time when supporting education is so important to Sarasota. The Board and Dr. Fish believe that the future of Sarasota will be greatly enhanced by the great after school program offered by Soar.”
Additional support from the Fundraising Gala of will allow us to begin construction of its new campus with the target date for completion of Sep- tember 2018, in time for the new school season. Each one of these gifts individually are the largest gifts in the Center’s history.
